The Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Springfield, in conjunction with the Central Illinois Food Bank, Temple Israel, Temple Israel Sisterhood, Temple B’rith Sholom, Temple B’rith Sholom Sisterhood, Hadassah, and B’nai B’rith will be sponsoring our fourth annual mobile food pantry on May 19, 2018 in the parking lot of TBS.

Rick Griminger will be the volunteer coordinator for this year’s event and has already begun recruitment. We will need volunteers for various jobs starting at approximately 9 a.m. and lasting until about 1 p.m. A few volunteers will also be needed a bit earlier to collect shopping carts and prepare the inside of TBS for registration and set up for breakfast. Food distribution will begin at 11 a.m. to accommodate those volunteers who wish to attend morning services.

Also be sure to let Rick know if you have any physical limitations so that he can make an appropriate assignment.
